On Wednesday March 26, 2014, Elizabeth Randall had the opportunity to speak to the Lafayette County Economic Development Foundation about the future of development in Oxford, MS. Oxford’s population has nearly doubled since 1990, and the community anticipates more record numbers in the coming years. The Oxford community has been impacted and will continue to be impacted by the demands of a growing population. Development is inevitable during periods of growth; however, Elizabeth emphasized the importance of growing Oxford’s community in a smart and intentional way. A proactive and structured growth plan will help maintain the Oxford charm while also meeting the increasing needs of a larger population.
